Sustainable Agriculture

The farm is now operated by Gus and Alina Ternoey.  We practice good agricultural principals such as crop rotations, nutrient management plans, soil conservation and the farm includes natural wetlands and forested areas.  We are committed to ensure the land is cared for that future generations will have the same opportunities we have.  Our crops are grown with care and delivered with pride.

Science

Modern agriculture is highly efficient and this is greatly a result from application of modern science and technology.  Gus holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Honours Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.  Alina holds a Masters of Science in Chemistry from Queens University.  Farm decisions are made with due consideration of history, experience and modern science and technology with the goal of continuing to provide safe and high quality grain to the market.

Community

As a responsible member of the community we take on the needed rolls in the agriculture industry.  Gus is the currently on the board of directors for the Grain Farmers of Ontario, and is also the president for the Kent-Essex Christian Farmers, the local board for the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario.

Agricultural Practice Methods

Modern sustainable farm practices are essential for producing corn, wheat, and soybeans in an environmentally friendly manner. By implementing practices such as crop rotation, precision farming, and IPM, farmers can achieve higher crop yields while conserving natural resources and promoting long-term sustainability. The adoption of organic farming methods further enhances the sustainable farming practices, ensuring the well-being of the soil, the environment, and the crops themselves. By incorporating these modern sustainable farm practices, farmers can contribute to the sustainable agriculture and food security of our planet.

An Ontario Grain Farm

The farm has been part of the Ternoey family for 5 generations. Using modern sustainable farming practices, we produce corn, wheat, and soybeans on a multi-disciplinary farm equipped with the most advanced equipment that is committed to focused and efficient farming discovery.
